Default No Effect From Shamrock Ale?

Yesterday I used 5 Shamrock Ales and noticed no drunken effect and no added time to my Drunken title. I thought it was strange... so I tried again today... using 2 Shamrock Ales and still nothing (no drunken effect and no drunken time added to title).

Also, I should mention that option for showing display effects is enabled, so I don't think that's the cause. Both times I was exploring the Crystal Desert when I used the Shamrock Ales.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks!

I never get a blurred screen anymore no matter what i take but ill get drunken quotes. My guess is that the ale has a weak effect or you to suffer from anti blurr.

I have my post processing effects enabled and still don't get any effect. Plus still not getting any time added to drunken title. What a waste of Shamrock Ales...

You have to drink at least 3 ales at a time to get any minutes toward your title. I believe 3 at once will give you 1 minute, while 6 at a time will give you 3 minutes just like regular ales.

Are you getting drunk enough for it to start counting? (2 ales together aren't enough, that's why I ask.)

If I'm not mistaken, you need to get to level 3 drunkeness before it'll start to count, which takes 3 shamrock ales.

I got 5 ale drops yesterday. Drank them all in one sitting. And I got a green swirling screen of drunkenness. It worked fine for me.

Yeah... looks like that's the issue. I must have not taken all 5 at once cause thought it wasn't doing anything.

Thanks for the feedback!

There is a guide out there on how to drink ales for maximum effectiveness and guildwiki.org has a nice explanation.

The short version is to drink 3 or 4 at once and then one every minute to keep the drunk clock ticking on your title bar.

They joy of Spiked Eggnog if you have any is that one will give you three minutes of drunk with a single use so you don't have to watch tne clock.
